Why Perdomo?
At Perdomo Cigars Australia, our unofficial company motto is “For Those Who Know”. In other words, we think Perdomo is still one of the
best kept secrets in the cigar world. And we kind of like it that way. Here are a few reasons we think trying the Perdomo range will blow your mind.

Huge Range, Better Prices, Better Service
Perdomo currently has 11 brands and each comes in multiple wrappers and sizes. There is literally something to suit the tastes of every cigar smoker, from new to experienced, from mild to full-bodied. Sit the Perdomo Challenge! Over 90% of people who try a Perdomo keep smoking Perdomo. To keep our prices down and to maintain quality we currently only sell online. |

Excellent Quality Control
The Perdomo factory prides itself on producing the finest cigar possible. Part of that process is doing everything possible to ensure that every cigar that leaves the factory has been tested multiple times by different supervisors to weed out any defective sticks.
Anyone who has smoked cigars for a while will know that it’s common to find that quite a few cigars in your box aren’t what you paid for. Now, of course, cigars are a hand-made, delicate product and so every now and then you’d expect a problem – a tight draw, an imperfect wrapper, etc. At Perdomo, every single cigar that comes out of the factory has been tested in a Drawmaster. We’re confident that you’ll be impressed by the quality of our product. |
 |
Freezing Tobacco
We have heard many of the times about “my cigars have holes” stories. Well, that is the Cigar Beetle. Cigar Beetle belong to the common Drugstore beetle family, but they are found in tobacco products. In a recent poll taken on a well-known cigar site, 28 percent of respondents reported they had experienced a beetle infestation.
You don’t have to worry about Cigar Beetle with Perdomo, because we employ a cryogenic system to freeze tobacco at sub-freezing temperature to eliminate the possibility of tobacco infestation. Freezing kills any beetles or eggs inside the tobacco.
Of course, if you keep your Perdomo cigars in the same humidor as other brands, the beetle might jump from cigar to cigar. For that reason, we recommend you store your Perdomo cigars separately (or, better still, only smoke Perdomo!). |

Family Owned Business
Perdomo is very much a family enterprise. Not owned by a large corporation or a
government -controlled enterprise, like most cigars, Perdomo have the attention-to-detail
and passion that only come from a family enterprise.
As company founder and CEO Nick Perdomo likes to say, “My name and reputation is on every cigar.” |
 |
100 Years of Experience
Even though Perdomo has only been in existence since 1992, the company employs people with much longer experience in cigars. Of course the Perdomo family has been in the cigar business for several generations, since Silvio Perdomo first apprenticed at Cuesta y Cia in the early 1930′s.
However today Perdomo also have people like Aristides Garcia and Sarah Ferguson helping run the operation. Aristides was the top administrator at Cubatabaco, which handled all production and distribution of Cuban tobacco products, we he had worked for 40 years before he left to join Perdomo as head of Pre-production a decade ago.
Watch our 2010 interview with the wonderful Aristides here.
Sarah also came to Perdomo from a long career at Cubatabaco.Today she manages the rolling rooms at Perdomo. So between the Perdomo family and people like Aristides and Sarah, Perdomo management boasts over 100 years of experience in the cigar business. |
